New to our site and just learning about Hope & Hearts? Here is a little about how this event got started and what it is all about...

The first Hope & Hearts Run/Walk was held in Minnesota in 2005. April and Dan Wurst and Candy and Steve McVicar began hosting the event in honor of their daughters, Kaila and Grace, who were both stillborn due to cord issues at 38 and 33 weeks gestation respectively. Hope and Hearts is about hope for the future through education and research and supporting the hearts of families who have lost to move forward.

Angie & Eric Brown joined Missing GRACE Foundation to host the first Hope & Hearts Run in Texas in honor of their daughter, Payton, who was stillborn due to a possible cord issue at 39 weeks gestation. They lovingly remember their daughter and want to support other families who have endured the loss of a child and desire to help educate the community in hopes of preventing such a loss for others.

Proceeds benefited the Missing GRACE Foundation which in turn provided support and resources locally in TX to aid individuals who experienced a pregnancy or infant loss. The mission of Missing GRACE Foundation is to provide resources and support to aid families who have experienced a pregnancy or infant loss, infertility or adoption challenges and to advocate for proper management of pregnancies for all women.
